    How we got here

    Most B2B teams run their business on software that doesn't quite fit. Stitched together, bent around product limitations, papered over with manual workflows nobody wants to own. The cost shows up in operations, not procurement.

    We started Ascentra to fix that. We design and build bespoke systems for teams that need reliability, clear architecture, and software they can keep running long after the original engagement. Customer portals, workflow automation, data systems, platform engineering. We also ship SaaS products including Conductor and Apex for teams who'd benefit from something opinionated and already in production.

    We work with teams across SaaS, financial services, telecoms, and professional services. The brief changes. The standard doesn't: software that's easy to operate, easy to extend, and designed to last.

    Our work is judged by what survives the dust settling. Whether the systems we built still run, still extend cleanly, and whether your team would hire us again.

    What does Ascentra do?

    Ascentra is a UK software engineering practice. We build B2B software in three formats: Conductor (a product for multi-channel communication orchestration), Apex (a product for product configuration and quoting), and custom builds for the systems that don't yet exist.

    Where is Ascentra based?

    Ascentra Ltd is registered in England & Wales, Companies House number 15323407. We work with clients across the UK and internationally.

    Do I have to use Conductor or Apex to work with you?

    No. Most engagements start with the problem, not the product. If your problem fits Conductor or Apex, deploying one of them is faster. If it doesn't, we build something custom around your business. Sometimes the answer is one of our products extended with custom logic. Sometimes it's a bespoke build.

    What happens to the code at the end of an engagement?

    It's yours. Source, infrastructure-as-code, deployment notes, runbooks. No proprietary runtimes you can't host. Documented so your team can take over operations without us in the room.

    Do you offer ongoing support and maintenance?

    Yes. Engagements typically include a post-launch support period. Beyond that we work on a retainer or project basis depending on what suits the system and your team.
